Krista (Kris) Kay Stewart, 67

Krista (Kris) Kay Stewart, 67, of Greensburg, passed away on July 10, 2023. She was born on September 25, 1955, in Terre Haute, Indiana. The daughter of Francis and Shirley (Clark) Fetter, Kris was the oldest of four siblings: Kathy (Bob) Jackson, Scott (Jannie) Fetter, and Karey (Ron) Miller. Krista always enjoyed taking care of others, starting with her siblings and continuing into her career working as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in multiple settings including hospitals and skilled nursing homes. Krista married the love of her life, James Stewart, on June 24, 1978, and the two went on to raise two sons: Brian (Chelsy) Stewart and Dwayne (Emily) Stewart. Though Krista loved her roles as a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, nurse, and mother, her most beloved job was being a grandmother. Krista’s grandchildren: Kayla, Gabriel, Charlee, and Ivy were her pride and joy and she enjoyed taking time to share her love for baking, crafting, and sewing with them while also spoiling them along the way. Krista’s loving and caring heart has touched many lives along the way and she will be missed dearly.
Survivors include: Husband James, Stewart; Parents, Francis and Shirley Fetter; Children, Brian (Chelsy) Stewart and Dwayne (Emily) Stewart; Grandchildren, Kayla, Gabriel, Charlee and Ivy Stewart; Siblings, Kathy (Bob) Jackson, Scott (Jannie) Fetter, and Karey (Ron) Miller; and Sister-in-law, Josephine Gron.
