(Indianapolis, IN) – Greensburg farmer Mike Koehne is wrapping up his year as Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA) board chair.
Koehne, the owner of Kingdom Farms, Inc., spent 2023 promoting the ISA, which is the state’s soybean checkoff program, and worked proactively to improve the viability of Indiana soybean farmers and industry partners.
Brazil, Indiana farmer Kevin Cox has been elected to take the reins from Koehne in 2024.
Meanwhile, Roger Wenning of Greensburg has been elected as one of two District 4 directors to the ISA board.
Wenning raises soybeans, corn, wheat and alfalfa on his farm in Decatur, Franklin and Ripley counties.
He also has cattle and owns an excavating and drainage business.
Wenning has served on boards with the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (IASWCD) and the National Association of Conservation Districts.
“As my many years of service to the IASWCD winds down, I’m looking forward another good organization to get involved with. I would like to expand exports by making U.S. soybeans the soybeans of choice for buyers,” Wenning said.
District 4 is made up of 32 Southern Indiana counties, including Decatur, Ripley, Franklin and Dearborn.
