Kenneth Wayne Lucas Sr., age 71, of Blooming Grove, Indiana died early Monday, November 5, 2018 at his residence in Blooming Grove.
Born July 26, 1947 in Batesville, Indiana he was the son of the late Charles & Lillian (Cornett) Lucas. On September 25, 1970 he was united in marriage to the former Teresa Buckler, and she survives.
In addition to Teresa, his wife of over 48 years, survivors include two sons, Kenneth W. Lucas Jr., of Brookville, Indiana and Billy (Chrystal) Lucas of Batesville, Indiana; two grandchildren, Logan & Parker; sisters; Linda (Jerry) Thackery of College Corner; Sharon (Mike) Boone of Indianapolis; brothers, Danny (Floydine) Lucas, and David Lucas of Brookville, Indiana, Keith (Diane) Lucas of Indianapolis, Indiana; his step-mother, Betty Lucas of Brookville; brothers-in-law, Tim (Aletha) Buckler and Marvin (Pam) Buckler all of Brookville, Indiana, Jeff Buckler of Connersville, Indiana; sisters-in-law, Becky (Dallas) Branstetter of Metamora, Indiana, Rosetta Adams of Brookville, Indiana Virginia (Ed) Buckler of Everton, Indiana as well as several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Lillian Lucas, his grandparents who raised him, William & Annie Lucas; as well as two brothers-in-law, Greg Buckler and Billy Scott Adams.
In keeping with his wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Family & close friends are invited to a gathering at the family home on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 1:00 P.M..
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Blooming Grove Volunteer Fire Department or the Franklin County Humane Society.
