Kenneth Ray “Kenny” Hosmer, 79, of Milan passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, at St. Andrews Health Campus with his loving family by his side. Kenny was born on Wednesday, July 4, 1945, in Delaware, Indiana; son of Theodore and Dorthy (Gilliand) Hosmer. Kenny married the love of his life, Jeweline, on April 6, 1968, and she survives him. Kenny served in the United States Army. He worked as an operator for Reliance Electric in Madison for 45 years. He was a member of the Milan First Baptist Church and was a past member of the Milan Lions Club. Kenny was known to love spending time outdoors and enjoyed gardening. He also loved to host yard sales. He had a passion for working on cars as well as washing and detailing them. Most of all Kenny enjoyed spending time and making memories with his friends and family, and especially loved his wife, Jeweline.
Kenny will be missed by his wife of 56 years, Jeweline Hosmer of Milan; son Eric Hosmer of Seymour; daughter Angie (Ted) Amberger of Milan; brothers Don Hosmer of Falmouth, Kentucky, and Sonny (Sue) Hosmer of Owensboro, Kentucky; sister Sue Peck of Osgood; grandchildren Shelby (Jackson) Stuart, Alexis (Michael) Luers, and Taylor (Austin) King; great-grandchildren Jett and Luka; and beloved dog Rosco.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Dorthy Hosmer; sisters Shirley Jones, Betty May, Jeannie Doan, and Mary Thompson; brothers Bill Hosmer and Butch Hosmer; and sister-in-law Dorothy Hosmer.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Kenny from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM, Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will follow at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Harris Long officiating. Military rites will be provided by Milan American Legion Post #235. Burial will follow at New Craven Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Kenny to St. Jude Children’s Hospital Cancer Research or Christ Hospital Cancer Care.
