Keith A. Jewett, 69, of Dillsboro passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024. Keith was born on Thursday, November 11, 1954 in Milan; son of Thomas “Tom” and Dorothy (Block) Jewett. He was the third of four children. Keith grew up in Dillsboro and was a graduate of Dillsboro High School, class of 1973.
He started his work career in high school working for local farmers and went to school to be a Farrier. Many locals wanted him because he worked so hard. Keith’s greatest love was his family. He really enjoyed getting together with his loved ones, especially spending time with his son, Chad. Family events were always one of his favorites. Keith was a cowboy at heart. He has a passion for horses that started in his early childhood. He loved going to any horse show or event. He always talked about the shows he and Willie Davies would attend as kids and how they loved to compete. The love of horses was something he liked passing on to others. He enjoyed teaching his grandchildren and other family members to ride and love horses like he did. Keith was a prankster as well as a jokester. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was known as the grill master. Everyone loved his steaks. It always made him happy to see everyone enjoy his food.
