(Greensburg, IN) – Senior Ashley Kalinowski received the Decatur County United Fund $500 Governor’s Work Ethic Scholarship at Greensburg High School’s Honor Day.
Over the last eight years, the United Fund has partnered with Greensburg High School to help strengthen employability skills that prepare students for today’s workforce.
The agency says this certification encourages students to meet benchmarks that support their college and career goals, and that Kalinowski exceeded these goals while dedicating significant time and talent to creating set designs and bringing drama productions to life.
Kalinowski says her aim has been to help kids express themselves and discover a love for the arts. She has participated in seven productions, including four youth shows and four high school shows.
Through drama club, she hopes students find ways to express themselves that may change their lives forever.
