Julie Doreen Lemmel, 59, of Batesville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019. She was born December 13, 1959, in Torrance, California, daughter of the late Peter Chacon and Anita (Adame) Chacon.
Julie loved the Doors and enjoyed cooking. She worked as a Kitchen Supervisor at Shady Nook Care Center.
She is survived by her mother, Anita Chacon of Rowland Heights, CA; longtime boyfriend and companion, David Sortwell of Lawrenceburg, IN; 2 sons, Pete Regan of Aurora, IN, Jeremiah (Stefanie) Lemmel of Batesville, IN; brother, Rick (Lynda) Chacon of Torrance, CA; 2 sisters, Debbie (David) Sesma of Chino, CA, Mary “Snooks” (Jeff) Becklund of Mercer Island, WA; 3 grandchildren, Isaac Lemmel, Addisyn Lemmel, and Jeremiah Lemmel Jr.
She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Chacon.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Sunday, December 8, 2019, from 1-4 pm.
