Judith A. “Judy” (Browning) Stewart

Judith A. “Judy” (Browning) Stewart, age 64, of Switzerland County, Indiana entered this life on October 21, 1958 in Vevay, Indiana. She was one of 11 children born to the parents of, William Samuel “Sam” and Mary Louise (Cunningham) Browning. She was raised in Switzerland County and attended the Switzerland County High School. Judy helped raise tobacco on the family farm. Judy was employed for Randall’s Textron in Vevay, Indiana for several years. She was later employed as a blackjack dealer and later as a pit boss for Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana for 20 years. Judy enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and shopping, especially thrift shopping. She loved a good cup of coffee and loved flowers and gardening. Judy passed away at 2:40 a.m., Monday, June 5, 2023, at her residence.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Claudia Romans of Florence, IN; her sons, Brad Stewart and his wife, Shalon of Florence, IN and TJ Stewart and his wife, Sarah of Patriot, IN; her grandchildren, Kaela, Kacey, Jessica, Peyton, Kaitlyn, Kayleigh and Bailey; her great-grandchildren, Arianna, Harper, Kendrick, Haysley, Isabella, Annabelle, Kayden, Aiden, Grayson; her special nephew, Doug Jones of Vevay, IN; her siblings, Penny Goddard of Florence, IN, Mary Jones of Vevay, IN, Donna Gosman of Milton, KY, Debbie McFadden of Vevay, IN, Bub Browning and his wife, Deb of Martinsville, IN, Dick Browning and his wife, Bonnie of Cross Plains, IN, Jeff Browning and his wife, Judy of Florence, KY, Kevin Browning and his wife, Vicky of Dupont, IN and Robert “Pete” Browning and his wife, Angela of Vevay, IN and her numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Samuel “Sam” Browning, died October 19, 1967; her mother, Mary Louise (Cunningham) Browning, died September 11, 1994 and her brother, Dennis Browning.
