Joyce Bascom, 81, of Rising Sun, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 in Rising Sun.
She was born February 24, 1935 in Aurora, Indiana, daughter of the late Walter and Frieda Bascom.
Joyce worked previously as an owner and sales rep. for Merle Norman Cosmetics in Madison, Indiana.
She loved her church, Central Baptist Church in Winter Haven Florida, her faith was very important to her. She loved animals, and rescued several cats, but she especially loved her cats, 20 year old white, “Pinky Lee” and 15 year old Harvey. Joyce was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her sister, JoAnn See and brother, Jerome K Bascom both of Greendale, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private graveside service was held at River View Cemetery, Monday, December 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jim Jackson officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana 47001.
