Greenwood, In. — A Jennings County native killed in the Korean War will be buried in Greenwood over the weekend. The remains of Army Master Sgt. Charles McDaniel were among the remains of 54 others returned to the United States in July following the Singapore summit between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
McDaniel was reported missing in 1950 after his unit made contact with the Chinese on North Korean soil. McDaniel was a 32-year-old medic from Vernon, Indiana at the time of his disappearance.
