Josh Borgman throws complete game shutout in Batesville JV baseball’s win over Lawrenceburg

Josh Borgman shut down Lawrenceburg, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Batesville junior varsity to a 7-0 victory on Thursday.

The Bulldogs opened up scoring in the first inning when Carson Schneider drove in one run on a single.

Batesville would score six more runs in the seventh inning. Brayden Maple, Alex Krekeler, Conner Drake, Borgman, and Noah Weigel contributed in the big inning with RBI.

Borgman earned the win on the mound for the Bulldogs. Borgman went seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out 13 and walking one.

TJ Tibbetts was on the mound for the Tigers, allowing three hits and one run over three innings, striking out two, and walking zero. Ronyn Knue and Jaxson Cook entered the game as relief, throwing two innings each.
