Joseph E. Glaub, of Guilford, was born on March 15, 1947 in Batesville, the son of John L. and Bertha Wilhelm Glaub. He graduated from Batesville High School and on October 11, 1969, he married Linda Guenther at St. Anthony’s Church in Morris. Joseph worked at Romweber until 1980 when he moved to Erlanger, KY and became an employee of the current Kanefusa-retiring from there in 2005. He and his family returned to Indiana in 1994, and resided in Guilford. Joseph loved fishing, camping, painting, Saturday morning gatherings with former BHS classmates, and spending time with family and friends. On July, 3, 2017 at the age of 70, he passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital with his family by his side.
Those surviving who will cherish Joseph’s memory include his wife of 47 years, Linda Glaub; beloved son, Eric, and 2 precious grandchildren, Brian (age 12) and Drake (age 7), and their mother, Abby Jones. Also surviving is one sister, Delores (Emil) Litzinger of Morris; brothers, John (Aggie Simmermeyer) of St. Mary’s, James (Rita Barnhorst) of Morris, Martin (Merita Flaspohler) of Morris, Jack of Batesville, and Robert of Sunman. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jerry (Barb Laker) of St. Mary’s.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, and again on Friday from 9 until 10 a.m. at St. John Lutheran – Hubbell’s Corner. Pastor Tom Frey will officiate the service at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow and burial will be at a later date.
