Johnny Ray Norman, of Batesville, was born on December 19, 1942, in Liberty, Kentucky, a son to Charles and Hazel Davis Norman. He married Sharon Coyle on February 26, 1966, and she survives. John served his country for many years in the National Guard and was a member of the Dearborn Baptist Church. He worked in construction and owned laundromats in Batesville and Osgood. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and classic cars. On Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the age of 81, John passed away at UC Hospital in West Chester, Ohio.
Those surviving who will honor and cherish John’s memory include his wife of over 58 years, Sharon Norman; two children, Michael (Nicole) Norman, and Shannon Norman; two grandchildren, Cole and Nikolas Norman, and three siblings, Jim (Pat) Norman, Hilda (Ernie) Powell, and Don (Peggy) Norman. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Marguerite Williamson.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Dearborn Baptist Church, 9638 State Road 48, Aurora, IN 47001, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with burial immediately follow in Hogan Hill Cemetery, Aurora.
