John S. Ernest, 79, of Moores Hill passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019 at his home with family by his side. John was born Wednesday, October 25, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of John and Dorothy (Huff) Ernest. He married Betty Ernest and she preceded him in death. John served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years. He was a member of Milan VFW, enjoyed camping and going to the casino.
John is survived by sons: Dwayne and Dennis Ernest both of Arizona; step-sons: Richard, Michael and Mark Carroll; daughters: Darla McFarland and Dreama Harding both of Milan; children’s mother Lillian Ernest of Moores Hill; brothers: Jerry and Jim Ernest; sisters: Joyce Hunt, Jenny Spears and Jackie Gonzalez; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
A service celebrating his life will take place at a later date at National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona. Memorials may be given in honor of John to donor’s choice.
