Joan Marie Greive, 91, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021.
She was born July 4, 1930, in Dearborn County, IN., daughter of the late Bernard Willen and Marie (Fischesser) Willen.
Joan was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church. She volunteered in the classrooms and at the library at St Mary’s Catholic School. She was also a member of Tri Kappa. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her late husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a very caring person who was blessed with a loving family and many close friends.
Joan is survived by her children, Thomas A. Greive of Aurora, IN, Vicki A. (John) Walukonis of Anderson, IN, Gary L. Greive (Tammy Hubbard), Daniel R. Greive of Layton, UT, Timothy J. Greive (Tammy Gregory) of Aurora, IN; grandchildren, Casie (Anthony) Nocito, Andrew (Monica) Walukonis, Leah Greive, Matthew (Melissa) Greive, Chelsie (Matthew) Hanna, Stacie (Trever) Varney, Courtnie Greive; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Marin, Carter, Daylan, Jackson, and Christian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Marie; her loving husband, Victor “Vic” Greive, Jr.; sisters, Jackie Johnston, Wanda Green, Audrey Ann Luhrsen.
Friends will be received Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 10:00 – 12:00 noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 203 Fourth Street, Aurora, Indiana.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm, with Father Daniel Mahan officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
