We’ll have more boys’ sectional playoff basketball on WRBI tonight… and these should be a couple great games, as so many are this time of year.
From South Ripley High in Class 2A, we’ll have the homestanding South Ripley Raiders entertaining the Jets from Hauser, tipping off at 6:00. Then, at 7:30, we’ll bring you the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles and South Decatur Cougars, a Class 1A match, live from Edinburgh. Also in sectional action tonight will be North Decatur facing Switzerland County, Oldenburg Academy taking on Morristown, Lawrenceburg playing Greensburg, Connersville and Batesville are squaring off, and East Central is playing Columbus East.
The Reds got back into Cactus League spring training baseball games in Arizona last night, getting by the Dodgers 5 to 4. This evening, Cincinnati will take on the club that’s at home in Arizona, the Diamondbacks.
Men’s college basketball last night had Nebraska’s Cornhuskers visiting Ohio State, and the Buckeyes won in Columbus, the final 78 to 69. OSU hosts its big football rival, Michigan, for hoops this Sunday.
The Pacers and Pelicans of the NBA have made their way to New Orleans for an instant home and home series. Wednesday night in Indy, the Pacers won by 9 points, 123 to 114. They flew south Thursday, and tonight the same 2 squads are facing each other again in Louisiana.
