Jim Daily

Peter James “Jim” Daily was born on October 22, 1962 in Jasper, Indiana, the son of Daniel R. and Kathleen M. Conway Daily.  He served his country with the Army National Guard for 25 years and worked for Enhanced Telecommunications for 18 years.  Jim enjoyed camping, gardening, road trips, and loved watching his grandchildren play.  At the age of 54, after a hard fought battle with cancer, he passed away at his residence, surrounded by loved ones.
 
Those surviving who will cherish Jim’s memory include his daughters, Erika Daily (Ross Robertson) of Greensburg, Alysha (Dustin) Scudder of Versailles, and Josie Daily of Batesville; 4 grandchildren, Dustin Scudder, Jr., Gavin Scudder, Olivianah Robertson, and Kennedie Robertson; 3 sisters, Julia (Rex) Thomas of Plainville, Maureen (Mark) Strange of Washington, and Margaret Daily of Washington; 2 brothers, Pat Daily of Chicago, and Kevin (Anna) Daily of Lawrenceburg, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.  He is also survived by his former wife, Mindy Daily of Batesville, her parents, Bertie and Larry Bauman of Sunman as well as her 5 brothers and sisters.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Kristen Kellar.
 
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 1p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman.  A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 2 p.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
