Jesse Michael Gabbard, 25, of Osgood, died on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at a residence in Decatur County.
Jesse was born in Batesville on October 2, 1993 to Jesse Gabbard and Amy Eckstein. He was employed in construction with Keawya Concrete Company. Jesse loved fishing, being outdoors, playing with his son Brody, and spending time with his family.
Jesse is survived by his son Brody Werner of Sunman; his parents: Willie and Amy Hoegeman of Osgood and Jesse Gabbard of Greensburg; a sister: Heather (Juan) Rodriguez of Sunman; brothers: Lee Eckstein of Sunman, Sam Hoegeman of Milan, Jace Eckstein of Covington, Kentucky, Jordan Hoegeman and Jarrett Hoegeman both of Osgood, Dawson Gabbard, Colton Gabbard, and Gage Gabbard all of Greensburg; maternal grandparents: Greg and Carol Ann Eckstein of Sunman; a special aunt: Mandy (Doug) Ballard of Sunman; nieces: Karina Rodrigez, Bailey Tunny, and Jane Hoegeman; nephews: Malachi Eckstein, David Hoegeman, and Anthony Hoegeman; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jesse was preceded in death by his Granny Kay.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home 107 Vine Street in Sunman. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for expenses or for a trust for Jesse’s son Brody.
