Jeffrey S. Harrington

Jeffrey S. Harrington, age 47 of Batesville, died Sunday, May 10, 2020. Born December 11, 1972 in Falls Church, Virginia, he is the son of Deborah (Nee: Moody) and Warren Harrington.

Jeff loved to work and quickly became an expert at anything he got his hands on. On top of working his fulltime job, Jeff was often helping a friend or family member repair their lawn mower, four-wheeler or fix something in their home. Day or night, you could count on him to help with any repair or emergency.

According to his family, Jeff was strong and old fashioned. He had an especially amusing sense of humor and was repeatedly quick with the one liners. He was extremely genuine and a man who stood by his word. To many, he would be described as a protector and one would always have your back.

Jeff had a love for the outdoors, so naturally that’s where many of his interests took him. He was a long-time deer hunter and could often be found fishing at the Girl Scouts or Brookville Lake. He respected nature and had a love for all animals. For years he raised horses, goats, chickens and was involved with 4-H with his daughters. He enjoyed teaching his daughters how to hunt, drive a quad and watching their sporting events. If you didn’t find Jeff in the woods or at the lake, you would have enjoyed playing cards with him or sitting by the bonfire laughing.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Steve Rork, his daughters, Shalee and Jadyn Harrington, his loving fiancé, Ashley Butt and her daughters, Zoe and Reagan Bolser. He is also loved by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins along with his many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Due to the Governor’s mandate of gatherings being limited to 25 people, a private service will be held Friday. Memorials may be made to funeral home to help with expenses and sent to the funeral home in care of the family.
