Jeffery “Jeff” Cleeter, 61, of Dillsboro passed away Thursday, February, 16, 2023 at his home. Jeff was born on Friday, January 19, 1962 in Lawrenceburg; son of Estal and Helen (Pavy) Cleeter. Jeff was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 292 of Dillsboro, Teamsters Union, the Hopewell F & AM Lodge #80 in Dillsboro, and the Southeastern Indiana Murat Shrine. Jeff worked at the Aurora Casket Company for 36 years as an over the road truck driver. Jeff enjoyed classic cars, watching NASCAR, mowing his lawn, and spending time with his friends at the legion. Jeff most of all loved his family.
Jeff will be missed by his sons Kreig (Jennifer) Cleeter of Greendale, Kurtis Cleeter of Dillsboro, and Karson Cleeter of Harrison, Ohio; mother of children Kim (Rob) Beavers of Harrison, Ohio; brother Jerry (Pat) Cleeter of Aurora; sisters Jean Connolly of Harrison, Ohio, and Joyce (Phil) Hardwick of Greenwood, Indiana; as well as grandchildren Iyla Cleeter and Brooks Cleeter.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Estal and Helen Cleeter.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Jeff from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A masonic service will be held at 11:45 AM provided by the Hopewell F & AM Masonic Lodge #80, the Sons of American Legion Post 292, with a funeral service to immediately follow. Burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Jeff to the Sons of American Legion Post 292 of Dillsboro.
