Jeffery Caudill, of Sunman, was born on March 16, 1964, in Greensburg, Indiana, the cherished son of John Hardy and Jacqueline Frances Caudill (née Richmond). He attended East Central High School and later was united in marriage to the former Marilyn Erhart on July 20, 1985, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Morris. Together, they raised two loving children.
Jeff was employed by MedMizer as a welder and fabricator until his retirement in 2023. In his spare time, he loved spending time in the great outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, camping, or off-roading in his side-by-side, those were the moments that brought him the greatest joy. He also enjoyed archery, classic cars, and dirt track racing. Jeff had a special love for all of his nieces and nephews. He was easy to talk to and truly never met a stranger. Above all else, Jeff treasured his family and found his greatest happiness in spending time with his beloved grandchildren, family, and friends.
On Sunday, July 12, at the age of 62, Jeff passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.
Those surviving who will cherish Jeff’s memory include his wife of over 40 years, Marilyn Caudill; his children, John (Tammy) Caudill and Crystal (Kyle) Scherff; five grandchildren, Jared Timothy Caudill, Martin Jeffery Caudill, Helen Jacqueline Caudill, Weston Lee Scherff, and Willow Ann Scherff; one sister, Virginia (Larry) Franzman; two great-nephews, Blake and Jayden Alig; siblings-in-law, Ron (Karen) Erhart, Brenda (Bill) Kraus, Kevin Erhart, Kenny (Becky) Erhart, Brian (Joan) Erhart, Mark (Shelia) Erhart, Diane (Roger) Batta, Carla (Donnie) Prickel; as well as the Calhoun Boys.
