Jean Anita Dierckman Huber

Jean Anita Dierckman Huber, age 74, of West Harrison IN, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Born August 14, 1951, in Batesville, IN, she is the daughter of the late Carl & Bernice Dierckman of Morris, IN. She married Joe Huber on April 23, 1983, and shared 43 years of marriage.

Jean graduated from Sunman High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in education from Purdue University and was a math teacher for many years. She then changed careers and received her Pharmacy Degree from University of Cincinnati and worked many years as a pharmacist until she retired.

Jean had an enormous passion for keeping her flower gardens in bloom and always looking beautiful. She loved her family and shared time with her family and friends. Jean and Joe loved horse racing, golf, bingo, traveling together along with their dogs and winters in Florida.

Jean is survived by her husband Joseph Huber, her twin sister Doctor Judy Dierckman, her brothers Ted (Diane) Dierckman, Tony (Kate) Dierckman and Mike (Carole) Dierckman, and sisters Mollie (Leo Bruno) Dierckman, Helen “Pud” Bolte and Ruth Mary Dierckman Stock, as well as numerous nieces and nephew. Her stepdaughters Holly (Jim) Vonderhaar Heather (Brad) Boley, and Rachel (Mike) Lewis, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Carl and Bernice, she is preceded in death by her brother, Henry.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Morris, IN. Visitation will take place from 10:00-11:00 at the Church followed by the Memorial Mass. There will be a luncheon following the mass.

The family requested donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
