(Osgood, IN) – Jac-Cen-Del Elementary School will hold kindergarten registration on Thursday, April 4 from 1-6 p.m.
All children must be five years old on or before August 1 to attend kindergarten during the 2024-25 school year.
Registering Kindergarten students and their parents are requested to attend. Parents will meet with Kindergarten teachers, and the school nurse to discuss the child’s immunization record and any health concerns.
The transportation director will be available to discuss bus routes.
Parents must bring their child’s birth certificate (the certificate from the hospital is not acceptable) and immunization records.
Representatives from the Ripley County Health Department will be available during Kindergarten registration to print your child’s birth certificate for $25 (cash or credit).
A parent must be the one requesting the birth certificate and you will need to present your drivers license.
If you child needs vaccines, you may contact your primary health provider or visit the Ripley County Health Department, Margaret Mary Health, or Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
School officials say your child will not be officially registered for Kindergarten at Jac-Cen-Del Elementary until an official birth certificate and an updated immunization record are on file at the school.
