Osgood, IN — Jac-Cen-Del Junior/Senior High School will be on E-Learning instruction today and tomorrow due to a high number of illness-related absences among students and staff.
This switch to virtual instruction applies only to the Junior/Senior High.
Jac-Cen-Del Elementary and its bus routes will operate normally on both days. In a letter to students, parents, and staff, interim Superintendent Fred Unsicker wrote that Indiana Code requires the school corporation to consult local and state health officials whenever illness-related absences are above 20% on a given day.
As a result, the decision was made to go to E-Learning for the next two days.
Junior/Senior High teachers will communicate virtual learning expectations to students through their Google classroom pages, with special consideration for students without internet connections at home.
Information on athletic and extracurricular activities on these two days and over the weekend will be sent soon.
