Greensburg, IN—An upcoming community fundraising event and blood drive aim to help an 8-year-old Greensburg girl in her battle against cancer.
The Jaylynn Strong Blood Drive is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. July 6 at Rebecca Park, located at 115 N. County Road 80 NE in Greensburg. The event benefits Jaylynn Mozingo, 8, who is fighting leukemia, living with Cerebral Palsy, and a rare brain dysfunction.
Jaylynn’s grandmother, Alberta Mozingo stated funds raised in the past have helped Jaylynn’s family pay for reliable transportation to get her to hospital and doctor appointments, a wheelchair ramp for her home and lifts for cars, medical bills and costs associated with her daily continuous care.
This will be the third year of the event, which will feature a car show, bake sale, raffles, children’s games, Bingo and live performances by the Dusty Road Band. The event will also feature a blood drive with Versiti. Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins are welcome. To schedule an appointment to donate blood at the Jaylynn Strong Blood Drive, call 317-916-5150 or by clicking here. Walk-in donors are also welcome.
