Janice K. Moeller, age 60 of Hamburg, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. Born July 28, 1956 in Batesville, she is the daughter of Sarah (Nee: Haskamp) and Frank Moeller. She worked 34 years at New Horizons Rehabilitation Center in the Shelter Workshop. She was a member of St. Anne’s Church.
Her family described her as “an angel that walked among us. She brought a lot of light to those she touched who will remember her beautiful smile.” Janice loved to travel, listen to music and dance. At night, after coming home from work, instead of turning on the T.V., she would listen to music. A huge Elvis fan, she also enjoyed attending concerts to see some of country music’s biggest stars with a trip to Nashville among her favorites.
She is survived by sisters Ann (Tom Vernon) Wessler of Franklin, Indiana, Carol Stier Nowlin, of Columbus, Indiana, Connie (Dave) Nobbe of Batesville; brother Richard (Pat) Moeller of Hamburg as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation is Tuesday, August 23rd, from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 24th, at Holy Family Church in Oldenburg, with Rev. David Kobak O.F.M. officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Hamburg. The family requests memorials to New Horizons Rehabilitation Center or the Ripley Crossing Activity Fund.
