Jane Ann Hunter, age 66, Yellow Springs, Ohio

Jane Ann Hunter, cherished member of the Cincinnati community, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on February 29, 1960, the daughter of James Earl and Bernice (née Hacker) Jackson, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jane’s life was marked by her dedication to her family and the warmth she extended to all who knew her.

She was the beloved wife of the late John Hunter, whose memory she cherished deeply. Jane’s parents, James Earl and Bernice Jackson, both of whom have passed on, left behind a lasting legacy through their daughter’s life and values. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Michael E. Jackson and Jeff Jackson, as well as her sister, Jo Lynn Poppe.

Jane was blessed with a loving and close-knit family. She is survived by her children Jeremy Jackson, Chad (Missy) Hunter, Amanda (Jim) Bowling, Heather (Kyle) Ficke, and Jamie (Chevvon) Hunter. She treasured her role as a grandmother and is survived by 13 beloved grandchildren who carry forward her spirit and warmth.

Jane also leaves behind her dear brother Jim Jackson and sister Jackie (Jeff) Kordenbrock, who, along with the entire family, will deeply miss her and the love she shared.

A Celebration of Life is pending at this time which will reflect the family’s wishes to commemorate Jane’s life and the impact she had on everyone around her. Through her example of love, dedication, and resilience, Jane Ann Hunter’s legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who were privileged to know her.
