James “Wes” Woodard, 53, of Greensburg, passed away on August 20, 2023. He was born on July 14, 1970 in Seymour, Indiana the son of James E. and Lucille (Engleking) Woodard. Wes was a 1991 graduate of Hope High School. He married Melanie Ogden on March 29, 2003. Wes previously worked as a forklift driver for KYB Manufacturing in Franklin. He attended the Clarksburg Covenant Church.
Survivors include: Wife, Melanie (Ogden) Woodard; Mother, Lucille (Gene) Essex; Children, Victoria Woodard, Kevin Woodard, James (Michelle) Woodard and Wesley Woodard; Grandchildren, Jaden Woodard and Spencer Woodard; Sister, Kate Engle; Mother in law, Sherrill (Tom) Ogden; Brother in law, Mike (Katy) Ogden; Sister in laws, Marita (Jason) McCulley and Michelle Ogden; Nieces, Jamie Engle, Cassie Engle, Kenzie Ogden, Kayelee Ogden and Kacie Ogden; Nephew, Dallas Engle; and several great Nieces and Nephews He was preceded in death by his Father, James Woodard; Son, Seth Woodard; and Brother, Terry Woodard.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of the Funeral at 12:00 pm. Rev. Dan Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Richland Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Indiana Center for Liver Research.
