James Jacob Oesterling passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. The son of Anthony and Betty (Knose) Osterling was born in Greensburg on September 28, 1954. He was 69 years old.
The New Point resident was a graduate of North Decatur High School. Jim served in the US Marines and worked for Honda in Greensburg before he retired.
Jim is survived by his sons, Lyle Oesterling (Amy) of Union, OH, and Dr. Benjamin Oesterling (Janna) of Lafayette, IN; his grandchildren, Avrie, Simon, and Cricket Oesterling; along with his siblings, Mary White and Mark Oesterling.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Mike Oesterling.
His wishes were to be cremated. There will be no services.
