James C. Bamberger

James C. Bamberger, 77, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Thursday December 26, 2019 in Aurora, Indiana.

He was born March 17, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late August “Gus” Bamberger and Loraine (Elstun) Bamberger.

James was a truck driver for Drysdale Trucking Company.

James loved to watch ESPN, especially football and golf. He enjoyed woodworking, and he liked to make rocking horses. James also liked to play games on his phone, but family time was his greatest joy, and he will be greatly missed by all.

James is survived by his loving spouse Carol Bamberger (Ottopal), children, Jody (Pete) Franklin of Burlington, KY, Michael Bamberger of Florence, KY, John (Amy) Bamberger of Burlington, KY, Tony (Tammy) Bamberger of Milan, IN, Mark (Liz) McGownd of Aurora, IN, Scott McGownd of Aurora, IN, Rod McGownd of Aurora, IN; brother, Alvin (Phyllis) Bamberger of Cynthiana, KY; 14, grandchildren; 12, (and one on the way), great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Tony, Lee, Ronald and Donald; sisters, Dorothy, Norma Jean and Betty.

Friends will be received Saturday, December 28, 2019, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm with Pastor Josh Bamberger officiating.

Interment will follow in the Craven Cemetery, Milan, Indiana.
