James Alfred “Jim” Pavey

James Alfred “Jim” Pavey, 76, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away Thursday,
November 24, 2022, at his residence in Lawrenceburg.
He was born November 6, 1946, son of the late Alfred William Pavey and Mary (Jenner)
Pavey. He was the baby of 12, raised on a large farm in Rising Sun, and graduated from
Rising Sun Schools.
Jim was an ASE Certified Service Technician for 42 years. He worked at several local
businesses, including Kidd Dodge, Jeff Wyler, and Meyer Brothers. In his earlier years,
Jim was a member of the Dearborn Adult Center and the Eagles. He volunteered with a
group to clean up Lawrenceburg streets and helped with children’s organizations and
those in need. Jim was a kind person and loved to help others whenever possible. Jim
enjoyed shooting pool, bowling, gardening, and puzzles. He loved woodworking and
repurposing all sorts of building materials. He was always building and creating
something. His greatest passion was building the “Redneck” cabin in the mountains,
where he loved to be surrounded by wildlife. His most precious time was spent with his
family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Jim is survived by his loving spouse of 32 years, Sherry (Neal) Pavey; children, Tonya
Albright, Cassandra Klepinger, Samantha Kennedy; Christopher (Shannon) Fausz,
Shaun Fausz, and Lysandra (Tony Mananello) Neal; siblings, Helen (Phil) Owens, Tom
(Shirley) Pavey, Georgia Pavey, Mary Lou (Doug) Sieben, Charles (Joan) Pavey, Dottie
(Bill) Roth, Camille Pavey; grandchildren, Noah and Silas Lowe.
He was preceded in death by parents, Alfred and Mary (Jenner) Pavey; son James R. Pavey;

siblings, Betty Doughman, Robert Pavey, Ruth Pavey, Rose Murphy and John Pavey.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on December 10th from 1:00-6:00 at 302
Walker Ave., Lawrenceburg, IN.
