It’s Primary Election Day in Indiana

(Southeastern IN) – The candidates have had their say. Now it’s your turn.

It is Primary Election day in Indiana.

There are several contested races in area counties, along with Republican primaries in Indiana House District 73 and Senate District 27, plus Senate District 43. There’s also a four-way Democratic primary in the Ninth Congressional District.

Polls are open until 6 p.m.

All local counties use the vote center system, in which  register voters can go to any polling place in the county to cast ballots. You can find local polling places by going to indianavoters.in.gov.

A valid photo ID is required to vote.

Voters who are in line at poll closing time may remain in line and will be allowed to cast their ballots.

Winners in the primary will move on to the Tuesday, November 3 General Election.
