(Versailles, IN) – The Indiana State Police Versailles Post held its annual award ceremony this week to honor troopers, motor carrier inspectors and professional staff members for job performances in 2023.
Payton Utterback was selected as the Versailles Post’s Trooper of the District for his work in criminal investigations and traffic enforcement.
Trooper Utterback is a two-year ISP veteran.
Trooper Clayton Saltzman was presented the district’s DUI Award for pursuing those operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Saltzman has been with the agency for two-and-a-half years.
Master Motor Carrier Inspector Mary Eglen was named the Ralph R. “Ray” Reed Motor Carrier Inspector of the Year for her enforcement of commercial motor vehicle safety regulations.
Eglen is a 34-year ISP veteran and primarily works at the I-65 Northbound scales near Seymour.
