
(Ripley County, IN) – Indiana State Police have released body camera footage of Wednesday’s water rescue near Holton.
State troopers, Ripley County Sheriff’s deputies, and Indiana Conservation Officers worked with New Marion, Holton and Osgood firefighters to rescue three people stuck in a vehicle in Graham Creek that had been swept a half mile downstream from a flooded crossing.
State Police and Conservation Officer divers entered the water to free the occupants and get them to safety.
ISP says the incident shows that you should not underestimate the power of moving water.
