(Switzerland County, IN) – Detectives from the Indiana State Police Versailles Post are investigating a deadly shooting in rural Switzerland County on Saturday night.
First responders arrived at a home on the 11,000 block of Bryant’s Creek Road just before 9 p.m. and found a 48-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made, and ISP believes this is an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
ISP received assistance from the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana Conservation Officers, Switzerland County Coroner’s Office, and the Switzerland County Prosecutor’s Office.
