ISO scheduled to return to Batesville

BATESVILLE, IN — The Batesville Area Arts Council has announced the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (ISO) will be returning to Batesville this summer.

The Star-Spangled Event with the symphony and a post-concert fireworks display will take place on June 30.

A large crowd of people, estimated to be in the thousands, turned out the evening of July 1, 2021, at Bill Gillespie Soccer Park in Batesville for the Star-ISO concert., which was the first local mass public gathering since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

The orchestra, led by Resident Conductor Jacob Joyce, played a mix of patriotic songs and orchestral showpieces.

The evening was capped off by a fireworks display at the conclusion of the orchestra’s performance.
