(Indianapolis) — INDYCAR completed its 2027 NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule Friday, announcing a summer stretch of races headlined by a first-ever trip to Barcelona, Spain.
The 17-race championship will race Sunday, July 18, at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, a marquee international addition announced earlier Friday. All 17 races will air on FOX for the third consecutive season.
Phase Two of the schedule picks up Sunday, June 13, at World Wide Technology Raceway near St. Louis and includes Road America on June 27, a Fourth of July stop at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Portland International Raceway on Aug. 1 and the Streets of Markham in Canada on Aug. 15.
The championship closes with a Milwaukee Mile doubleheader Aug. 28-29 and the season finale Sunday, Sept. 5, at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, where the champion will hoist the Astor Challenge Cup. It is the 13th time Laguna Seca has hosted the finale.
The season opens Sunday, March 7, on the Streets of St. Petersburg. The Month of May at Indianapolis Motor Speedway features the road course race Saturday, May 15, and the 111th Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 30.
“The 2027 season will build off a record-shattering and landmark year for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES,” said Mark Miles, president and CEO of Penske Entertainment Corp. “Our relationship with FOX Sports continues to set an industry standard, and this schedule will help us build on all of these gains and take things to the next level.”
INDYCAR remains the only premier motorsports series in North America with every race on network television. FOX will also carry three additional telecasts covering the two days of Indianapolis 500 qualifying and Miller Lite Carb Day.
