(Indianapolis, IN) – Those under 18 who want to attend this year’s Indiana State Fair will need to be accompanied by an adult, guardian, or chaperone over the age of 21 after 6 pm.
That’s one of the new safety measures unveiled Thursday.
The safety plan also includes a ban on weapons of any kind, visitors will undergo metal detector screenings upon entry to the state fair, and all bags must be nine inches by 10 inches by 12 inches or smaller and are also subject to searches when entering.
The Indiana State Fair runs July 28 through August 20, except for when it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
