INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Indiana Senate is reconvening this week to discuss and vote on new state legislative and congressional district maps.
This is constitutionally required to take place every 10 years following the U.S census.
These maps were created following a series of statewide public hearings that allowed members of the public to share their redistricting priorities with members of the General Assembly so lawmakers could take that input into consideration when drawing the state’s new district borders.
The legislative process of redistricting is ongoing, with the Senate Committee on Elections meeting today (Monday) to hear more public testimony.
