Statewide—Indiana has the 2nd most equitable school districts in the U.S. overall, but some districts within the state are fairer than others. To find out where school funding is distributed most equitably, WalletHub scored 289 districts in Indiana based on two metrics: average household income and expenditures for public elementary and secondary schools per pupil. Several Southeastern Indiana School districts made the top 50 list in the study.

Jennings County School Corportion was ranked as the number 2 school in the state spending $11,120 per student and an average household income of $49,801. Greensburg Community School Corporation was ranked number 3 in the state spending $10,272 per student and an average household income of $54,488. Rounding out the top 50 included:
