Indiana House passes bill that would limit workplace vaccine requirements

STATEHOUSE — A bill that would limit what vaccine requirements can be instituted in the workplace is halfway to Governor Eric Holcomb’s desk.

House Bill 1001 passed the chamber on a 57 to 35 vote Tuesday.

The measure would force employers to grant exemptions from vaccine requirements to workers on medical or religious grounds.

The bill now moves on to the Indiana Senate for consideration.

The Governor has previously said he would rather leave vaccine policies up to Hoosier business owners and not state lawmakers.
