Indiana General Assembly ‘Organization Day’ tomorrow

Indianapolis, In. — Tuesday, Nov. 20, the Indiana General Assembly will convene for Organization Day, the ceremonial start of the 2019 legislative session.

During this time, my fellow senators and I will meet in the Senate Chamber, where we will discuss upcoming legislation and hear from our new president pro tem, Rod Bray (R-Martinsville).

Additionally, Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta Rush will swear in newly elected senators and senators beginning new terms.

The 2019 session will formally begin Thursday, Jan. 3. By law, it must end no later than April 29.
