Indianapolis, In. — Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill is warning about a scam involving invoices seemingly originating from his office. People from across the country have reported receiving emails that state,”Kindly find the enclosed invoice and advice ASAP. Thank you.”
The email contained the name of a state contractor and contact information for Medicade Fraud Control Unit.
Officials say the invoices are not legitimate and should not be paid. Information about this scam can be reported by calling 800-382-5516.
