INcompass Healthcare’s CASE Implements New Service Model

(Lawrenceburg, IN) – Community Assisted Supported Employment (CASE), in partnership with the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) and Vocational Rehabilitation, has announced that they will be implementing a new service model for their program participants known as Individual Placement and Support, or IPS, at an event held by CASE.

Bridget Bascom-Hinkle, Director of Community Support Services at INcompass Healthcare, kicked off the event with an introduction and discussed how they have operated supported employment services over the past 25 years.

INcompass Healthcare recognizes that employment for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness is a social determinant of health and is vital to recovery and overall health.

They also believe that the expansion and integration of supported employment services within mental health treatment will allow the opportunity to address all needs simultaneously and foster recovery and hope by building autonomy and choice for those individuals.

IPS is a model of supported employment for people with serious mental illness and works by helping people living with behavioral health conditions work at regular jobs of their choosing. IPS is an evidence-based practice of supported employment services and will greatly benefit the overall well-being of program participants.

CASE is a program offered by INcompass Healthcare and is committed to “helping beneficiaries go to work.”

They operate with a belief that anyone with a disability or barrier to employment can work competitively in their community, as long as they have the desire and they’re provided with the tools needed to help them find, secure, and keep a job.

Their goal is to improve the quality of life for individuals through vocational and employment opportunities, assist with obtaining gainful, competitive employment, and provide the necessary support to ensure all placements can successfully maintain their individualized job goal.

There are many services that CASE offers but a few of the main ones are job development, job shadowing, vocational planning and guidance, job readiness planning, job search assistance, resume writing, job coaching, and benefits analysis.
