(Franklin/Dearborn Counties, IN) – Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales completed the second week of visiting several counties to hand deliver election improvement grants on Friday.

He made stops in Franklin and Dearborn counties as well as four others (Fayette, Wayne, Randolph, and Delaware).

Franklin County was awarded $22,969.38 while Dearborn County received $60,000.

Morales visited three other Indiana counties earlier in the week.

More than 60 Indiana counties will be receiving Federal Help America Vote Act grant dollars to go towards local election improvement and security efforts. Statewide grants are valued at approximately $2 million.

Since the start of the year, Morales has delivered grant checks to nearly 30 counties.

“I believe, when it comes to running smooth and safe elections, each county knows what they need best. At each visit, I am so proud to hand deliver this grant money to the receiving county. Each dollar makes a difference, and this funding is only going to make our Hoosier state stronger,” Morales said.
