Batesville, In. — Officials from the Indiana Department of Transportation say as of Monday the eastbound ramps to I-74 at the State Road 101 exit will close Monday, October 16 for at least 15 days. On October westbound ramps ramps at New Point will reopen. On October 23 eastbound and auxiliary lane at the New point exit will close.
Interstate traffic approaching New Point is also now restricted to the left lane. Crews have also moved eastbound traffic into the left lane approaching the State Road 101 exit.
Full-depth reconstruction of those areas has now begun. The process includes removing existing pavement, soil stabilization, drainage work and 12 inch thick concrete pavement.
