SHELBY & DECATUR Co., Ind. — Traffic will be slowed on Interstate 74 today and tomorrow (May 24 & 25) in Shelby and Decatur Counties to facilitate bridge work at County Line Road located 4.6 miles East of State Road 244.
Between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, a series of “rolling roadblocks” will be alternately staged on I-74.
Eastbound slowdowns begin at State Road 9 at Shelbyville.
Westbound slowdowns begin at State Road 3 at Greensburg.
These delays will void I-74 lanes of traffic at the County Line Road overpass for approximately 20 minutes each – allowing crews to offload and install steel beams at the 4-span structure.
All work is weather dependent.
Motorists traveling I-74 will continue to experience overnight lane closures as needed.
