Batesville, In. — The $61 million reconstruction of I-74 in Decatur, Franklin and Ripley Counties will officially begin on Monday, August 7. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at the eastbound rest stop about two miles east of Batesville at 1:30 p.m.
Columbus-based Milestone Contractors L.P. will complete the full-depth reconstruction and new bridges at Little Laughery Creek and Western Creek. This is the first NEXT LEVEL project in the district.
Work planned for this year includes widening, patching, shoulder strengthening and crossover construction.
