Hoosier Hills Issues Boil Advisory

(Milan, IN) – Hoosier Hills Regional Water District has issued a voluntary Boil Advisory for customers south and east of U.S. 50 and County Road 525 East, and between 625 East and 200 North in Ripley County.

The advisory was put in place because of a water main break.

It is set to run through Wednesday, August 19.

A boil advisory is a precautionary measure issued by the water utility to alert customers when there is a potential for compromised water quality.

It is recommended that you boil all water used for drinking and for food preparation for two minutes.

Water used for laundry, showering, shaving, and watering grass or plants is safe to use without boiling.
