(Greensburg, IN) – The Honda Indiana Auto Plant (IAP) in Greensburg recently marked a significant milestone, when the three-millionth vehicle to be manufactured at the facility since it opened in 2008 rolled off the assembly line.
IAP produces the Honda CR-V and CR-V Hybrid, the Civic Hatchback, and will soon begin production of the new Civic Hatchback Hybrid.
“This three-million-unit milestone is a testament to the passion and skill of our 2,600 Indiana associates who produce the award-winning Honda Civic Hatchback, CR-V and CR-V Hybrid,” said Roxanna Metz, IAP Plant Lead. “Since starting production in 2008, our team in Indiana has been committed to producing high-quality products for our customers, and we are excited for the upcoming launch of the all-new Civic Hatchback Hybrid.”
IAP is one of five Honda plants in the United States.
The Greensburg facility has the capacity to produce 250,000 Honda cars and light trucks annually, using domestic and globally sourced parts.
IAP manufactures two of the top-selling U.S. Honda models: the Honda Civic Hatchback and CR-V and CR-V Hybrid models, and will add the Honda Civic Hatchback Hybrid model this year.
Honda associates in Indiana have produced over 3 million vehicles since starting production in 2008, with capital investment totaling $1.3 billion at the 2.5 million-square-foot facility in Greensburg.
